Quartio vs ChatGPT: company memory, not another chat

ChatGPT is great at writing, translating and answering questions. Quartio does something else: it knows your company’s matters, remembers what was agreed with its source and makes sure nothing slips.

Quartio

An operating system for owners of companies of a few to a few dozen people. It reads email, WhatsApp, meeting notes and documents, records agreements with their source, keeps track of matters and prepares the work for your approval. Every company gets its own server.

ChatGPT

A generative AI chatbot by OpenAI, in the browser and in apps. It answers questions, writes and analyses text; it can remember information and connect to apps such as Gmail.

Quartio keeps track of matters. ChatGPT answers questions.

On Monday a client asks about the start date. Quartio already knows the agreements from the email, the meeting and WhatsApp, knows which one holds, prepares a reply for your approval and comes back to the matter on Friday if the client does not reply. ChatGPT helps you write the reply once you give it the information.

Company memory, not chat history.

ChatGPT’s memory covers what you tell it and your conversations with it. Quartio’s memory is the whole company’s agreements: who promised what, when and where, what holds and what was replaced, with a link to the source.

Where you already work.

You talk to Quartio on WhatsApp, in the browser, or in Claude and Codex through MCP. You don’t need another window to ask about a matter.

When to choose Quartio, and when ChatGPT?

Choose Quartio if

  • You want to know which agreement holds and where it came from.
  • Matters should be tracked, and the data should stay on the company’s own server.

Choose ChatGPT, if

  • You write, translate or summarise a text you give it.
  • You are looking for ideas or an answer to a general question.
  • One person needs help with their own work.

Questions before you choose

Will Quartio replace ChatGPT?

It doesn’t have to. ChatGPT stays for writing and ideas. Quartio takes over what ChatGPT doesn’t do for you: remembering the company’s agreements and keeping track of matters.

Can I use both?

Yes. ChatGPT for writing and ideas, Quartio for the company’s matters that someone has to remember and keep track of.

How much does it cost?

Quartio is a monthly subscription for the company. We give the amount at the first meeting, once we know how many people and tools it covers, and put it in the order before the start. The first meeting costs nothing.

How much work does the start take?

At the first meeting we pick one matter and connect only the sources it needs, together. You check the answers on your own matters straight away, and the scope grows once you see the benefit.
